I still have the flu so this stupid doodle took me a week to get finished, ugh, so non-productive right now.
Anyway, slime brothers. I have a lot of bro-characters, not because of the incest BL, but because I love bromance, like the totally hetlove between guys, it's an amazing bond that people laugh at but I admit, I'm jelly.
So yeah, uh, these guys aren't any real-monster, they're kind of a combination of a Ditto, a Slime and a classic shapeshifter. I designed them when I was a kid but unlike most of the stupid shit I designed then I still love them a lot. They can turn into anything but they're not very good at getting it right, so they usually wear the masks in their human forms to keep from freaking people out when they get it wrong. I usually stay away from kooky anime hair, but their base form is purple so and I designed them when I was 8 so....
Oh hey, look at that I typed up a bunch of shit about OCs that only I care about OTL
love your work, cl. i first saw it in _mangaka america_, & i was hooked. am i imagining things, or did it say you were based out of baltimore, right? if it did, i would have loved to meet you (if at all possible), since i lived there for a while myself (just moved today actually). your characters have a great vivacity, a trait i admire. actually, their personalities are so bold that i used the twin brothers tutorial (from _MA_) to guide my students through characterization when writing. thanks for such an insightful chapter!
anyway, you create great things, & i hope that you continue to do so. best of luck to you!
I was in the Baltimore-area, for like, ever. I was at Otakon literally every single year from 1995-2010 lol. But thanks bro/lady-bro, I'm one of those people who doesnt really do much fandom stuff so when people actually like my oc work it makes me happy! It always surprises me when anyone remembers MA let alone liked it, so again, thanks!
damn... otakon 2010 was my first (came into the game pretty late), but i hadn't come across MA yet. anyway, thanks for the reply. i'm starting to put some projects together myself, so this lady-bro is always looking at the work of those more experienced. just need to learn, learn, learn, & then practice the hell out of it. MA is part of that.
Hey, I actually liked that little paragraph about them, and it actually made the picture more interesting because then I know who/what they are. Pretty cool design.
anyway, you create great things, & i hope that you continue to do so. best of luck to you!

please be well, & best of luck, wherever you are!
